Yuko's mixed media piece entitled "see" was selected  for the Ecological Maintenance Art exhibition:  Beyond Landscape by Women  Environmental Artists Directory.  Her work will be on view June 15 - September 28  at the Marin Community Foundation in Novato, CA.   "Beyond Landscape" is a group exhibition comprised of artists whose work speaks to taking care of the planet  and sustaining nature. Since 1996 WEAD has focused on women's unique perspective to further understanding of ecological and social justice art. The Marin Community Foundation is one of the largest community foundations in the U.S. with total assets of approximately $1.2 billion and annual grant distributions of approximately $60 million.  The foundation has exhibited art in its office space  for nearly the entire 25 years of its existence and is currently housed in a 28,000 sq. ft. former airplane  hanger space at Hamilton Airfield in Novato.  The space has an open floor plan, with large wall spaces and lighting system, designed to display  art, both two-and three-dimensional,  where three exhibits a year are presented,  all of which are open to the public.    _________________________________________   Other Galleries with her work

  

Yuko's work is at  San Francisco Fine Art Fair, Booth #C18 at Festival Pavilion, Fort Mason Center, San Francisco as one of the represented artists of Studio 391 FINE ART GALLERY, Gualala, CA May 17 through 20, 2011.  The San Francisco Fine Art Fair (SFFAF) returns for a third year in 2012 as one of the highlights in the Bay Area for contemporary art. In 2011, a rousing 16,500 art enthusiasts lined up and streamed through the fair. There was a bursting energy in the air and contagious enthusiasm as attendees were stunned, entertained and amazed by the wide spectrum of hi-caliber fine art displayed by the 73 exhibiting galleries. The well designed and spacious exhibit floor show cased scores of breath-taking installations, thought-provoking live performances, spectacular indoor and outdoor sculptures, memorable photography, significant paintings and historically important works on paper.
